I was the nut who took over 500 pics of the SLBPE 2007 meeting and then posted a quarter of them to Flickr. Looking forward to meeting other folk in Second Life and sharing tips, ideas, cool places, and skills building. In real life, I'm a medical librarian working in Web 2.0, Second Life, emerging technologies, search engine research, informatics. Some of you I already know through Flickr, Twitter, del.icio.us, Slideshare or other social tech groups. See below ...

Single mom, librarian, ehealth, informatics, search engine guru, web 2.0, 2nd life, crafts, music, quilts, canning.

SL Power & Empowerment!

Tuesday at 1pm, our Dean said he really wanted a video of science
research and education in Second Life to show to other Deans at a
meeting he was going to. The consensus was that this was doable, with a

Libraries in SL

Went to the grand opening of the Michigan Library Consortium in Second Life a few days ago, and just uploaded the pics to Flickr. Last weekend went to the opening of the new Ethics collection for the Caledon Whitehorn Memorial Library, and took pics there, too.

MLC pics added to my SL-libraries collection:

SL Science Class Slides Online

OK, folks, as promised, here are the slides from my class.

http://www.slideshare.net/umhealthscienceslibraries/why-work-teach-with-second-life/

I went on vacation to my nephew's wedding right after, so haven't been as virtually present as usual. Got a good response from this session, and are hoping more people attend the next couple sessions. Wednesday, we're doing a brown bag that is basically how to have a good experience as a newbie. I hope. :)
